Proposition 65 is a California law that applies to companies selling products in California. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels. Proposition 65ās warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a "right-to-know" law. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65.
There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including electronic equipment, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as buildings, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.
Why do you see the warning on our packaging and website?
The warning is part of our ongoing effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as "Proposition 65").
Nice little powerful unit. I can't believe I never bought one before.

THIS IS A MUST
This is the best part of my system. Cleans everything up. I have a 12in sub on a 800watt amp and two 6in subs on a 250 watt amp and it definitely helps balance everything out and clean everything up. We'll work the money and I'd buy another one if this one burnt up.

Good for the price
I wanted a light set up for small gigs. I used this to BI-Amp a small speaker set up I have.
The only downside I noticed is that when the sub is set to the lowest frequency there is quite a loss of gain and this is the setting I wanted.
I used the eq section to compensate best as I could.
I was surprised the sound was clean Overall for the price this worked good.

Nice product for higher end users.
Works well but not intended to be used by the average car audio user. This thing is very touchy and kind of a pain to setup correctly. If you do not know what you are doing as far as freq boost and or gain controls as a middle point. Would not suggest this. Go with a pure graphic eq, parametric has a very high learning curve to get set up right.

A equalizer is a must-have
Overall good. I knew to figure it out all the way I would have to get it hooked up. One catch others may notice. You can't use eq boost for sub frequencies if you use the sub x over output at the same time. My amp already has this, but if you boost 20 hz @ 18 db and use the sub on the rear out instead then those powerful low signals get sent to the mids and highs. You will need another amp with a high pass x over to stop those deep frequencies.

This is the 4th purchase of this little Gem. ...
This is the 4th purchase of this little Gem. This time I am using it in my 2013 Hyndai Veloster. Replacing a Quantum QEQ6, not sure if the Quantum is up to the task, but i know the Planet will perform. My music is a bit lifeless with the Quantum, hoping the proven Planet PEQ15, with it's variable parametric versatility will help bring more dynamics to the installation. Could always be the factory radio being a bit lackluster, tho. People tend to bash Planet, but they always perform for me.

Awesome!
Awesome. Works well with my setup. Havent had any problems yet.
1/15/2015 EDIT: Purchased product in may of 2013, has worked great until just recently it went up in smoke after turning on car. 12v power was fuse protected and when the fuse blew, the EQ tried to receive its power through remote 12v. I was not happy, but will probably buy another one and make sure to fuse protect remote wire with low amperage fuse. Will remove 1 star :/

Bought one last year.
I bought this last year for my first system, and I must say, this thing was simple for me when I didn't know much about EQ's or how to set them. I ended up taking the whole system out and I put this somewhere that I haven't been able to find. Let me just put it this way, I plan on buying another one of these and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something simple, and not wanting to break the bank. It lights up blue behind the knobs which was perfect with my radio screen and the blue LED's I had under my dash.

Impressive parametric EQ
Sceptical at first because of the low price, I was pleasantly surprised after the short installation time. A true parametric, there's a slight learning curve to adjust it properly. This is NOT a graphic EQ disguised as a para! No system noise added and did not have to filter or do an elaborate install. Sub and bass are clean and deep, highs are clean but I wish I had a little more freedom on the top end.
The knobs push in and lock, push again to release (found this out by accident) So, once adjusted, you can push them all in for a flush look. Does not have the build quality of the Kenwood graphic EQ it replaced but no regrets. Two things I found slightly annoying: 1 - The knobs are not aligned to true vertical...at their center detent, they are all skewed slightly to the right (12:01 instead of 12:00). When extended, the knobs are off-center in the faceplate and they flex slightly. None of these are dealbreakers unless you must have perfection. For $40, and the significant improvement in clarity and control, I can live with those minor flaws. Highly recommended.

Parametric equalizer
Bought a few peq15 for my customers they are a copy of the soundstream mpx4. The thing people must know is this a parametric witch means you can sweep across the secified range eg: Band 4= 4k-20khz you can boost or cut any frequency 4,001hz to 19,999hz. EG: If your car has resonance problems at 6000 hz with a flat tip screwdriver you can tune to this frequency and fix the issues by a boost or cut. If known how to use correctly it can be the most valuable component in youre system. It made my 6.5 inch component door speakers bass just come alive when i sweeped and found the right frequency to adjust. Also thats how bose does there systems they find the right frequency to adjust and preset into memory. With the peq 15 you basically have thousands of bands you can adjust. Build quality:8 of 10. Pros: double sided boards, sealed volume and adjustment pots, film capacitors, seperate sub control Cons: center detent not always in center, could use one more band.

Works great
I bought this because I wanted something a little easier to control my subs. It does that and more for a great price.
The only downside to this unit is how bright the blue lights are. They are almost to much at night in my single cab pickup. The ability to turn off the light would be great.
Other than that this thing is great.
(Update)
Had this for a little over a year now, maybe longer. Still works great. I use it everyday.

Smart and Simple
I bought this because I needed an EQ for my Alpine CDE-100. Its a simple EQ to work with a simple head unit. Together they are a perfect combination. The best thing about this it that it works great for a very low price.

simple is good
I was mad at myself for not buying the more expensive model from Planet Audio that included adjustable crossover points for each level of the equalizer. This one was on sale for such a resonable price I couldn't refuse. I'm glad I bought this model now. Being honest with myself, I feel I have a diserning ear for music but the 4 equalizer settings high, mid, low, sub-low, are just fine. I can switch between my head unit and a mp3 player with a touch of the aux button and my mp3 player sounds better without going thru the head unit. I have fader, sub crossover, sub gain, volume, along with the EQ levels. It put's 7v to my amps. A alpine 4ch rated at 25w rms and a precision audio 2ch rated at 250w rms bridged to a single 1000w Infinity 8" in a sealed box. The 4ch alpine runs 2 4x6 Infinity plate spkrs in the rear and 2 6 1/2" co-ax Alpine's in the front kick panels. The equalizer performs flawlessly with separate outputs for Sub, front, rear, So I can split the 4ch inputs and use the fader control to balance the 6 1/2's and the less power hungry plates. The amps may seem to small but they aren't. Power ratings are severely over estimated by most users. A 250w 2ch bridged will power a 8 or a 10 to beyond the speakers capability's easy. The Alpines 25w rms per channel rating is where it has the least distortion not the most it can produce. Add in the EQ pumping 7v to the inputs and you have alot more than the rated power. Esp. if you run heavy power leads and a Cap in the main lead before you split the power to the 2 amps. I highly reccomend this EQ/Sub controller to anyone. I had a $280 dollar kicker EQ for a long time and this one has better features. Also the blue background lighting around the knobs that pump to the music makes a nice effect.

Works Great
Works great, easy to adjust low/mid/treb levels on the fly and the separate sub channel and low pass filter is nice. I did get a fairly loud alternator whine/buzzing sound in my rear speakers after installing this unit, however this probably due to my sub-optimal wiring and installation. The buzzing stopped after installing a ground loop isolator.
