Works in my 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 WT, standard cab with base factory radio. These fit into the rear side panels. You will need to drill holes to mount the speakers since the factory speakers just snap in, which is a nifty design to reduce installation time and production costs.
The included screws will not tap or "bite" into the sheet metal, so you either need to drill holes slightly larger than the included screws and use the included tabs (which can be a hassle, imo) to mount the speakers, or use self-tapping screws, which is the route I went.
Sound – They are being driven by the upgraded factory radio, which is a JVC KD-X330BTS and they sound great, IMO. If you plan to use these in a system that has a 10 inch or larger subwoofer, then you’ll want to bump up the supplied wattage with an amplifier suited for the RMS wattage these speakers can handle. In case the price didn’t give it away, these aren’t high-end speakers.
