This is a pretty cool device. If you have experience installing them, this will probably be easy for you. If this is your 1st go, get an installer!
I did it myself, it was slightly involved, took me all day. Once set up, what do we have:
Radio: Great! nice preset buttons, easy to use, easy to set up. Picks up the weaker channels with great clarity
CD/DVD – the description says it does not have a cd/dvd player. Which is very odd, because it does! Works well, you can connect 2 more screens to it, but if the car parking break is not engaged, the dvd will not play on the front screen.
Memory slot and usb slot – the memory slot is hidden under a panel, but once found – well , it does what it says, and plays the audio nicely.
Backup Cam: Okay, I *LOVE* this. I now back my car into the garage every night 🙂 Easy to set up, when you pop the car into reverse, the screen switches to show you whats behind – drop it out of revers, the screen goes back to wear it was.
Driving: 20 seconds after you do something on the screen, it switches off, leaving the audio/phone working. So it is not distracting.
Bluetooth: this is not so good. I can connect my bluetooth to it, but only one device. My last stereo like this allowed me to connect both the kids phones so they could play music, whilst mine could over rule them and would also use the phone feature. This is not that advanced. Its adequate, but not great.
It would be nice if the stereo got louder as the ambient sound got louder – again my last one did that, and I do miss that functionality.
And the documentation. It reached US English via at least 4 other languages that probably met in a pub one night and thought they were being funny.
The sound is good. Very Bass heavy at first, but that is easy to adjust.
For the price, its great. With a little more work, it would be amazing.
