So first off, this amp is very good. Excellent bang for the buck! The power it delivers is dead on considering the fuse rating it has.

Here are the goods, the bads, and the ugly on the amp.

THE GOODS: very good coating on it…nice and scratch resistant as Iam sure we have all bumped the screwdriver into a black amp before and marked it all up. This one has a good coating on it to prevent that. The amp delivers very nice clean sound and is plenty powerful.

THE BADS: it does get warm to the touch…no doubt about it, but any amp with 75 amps pull is going to get warm. Does it keep as cool as say my Soundstream Rub5.8 when I ran it hard…no, definitely not. On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the coolest and 10 being glowing hot red and that you better not touch it, I would rate this amp about 4-5. It’s not super bad but something you should be aware of. The amp has no soft remote turn on section to it…(for this alone is why I didn’t give it 5 stars). There is a noticeable pop/thump upon start up. If you get a soft remote turn on adapter for $10 or so and put it on the remote turn on lead coming out of the head unit, this problem should be solved. Going forward, I would like to see the next model come out with this feature as most amps today have this $10 feature built into them. I know I would be willing to pay an extra $10-$20 to see this built into the amp.

THE UGLY: The amp is not a simply plug and play….many…if not ALL THE SETTINGS you will have to play with. On my amp, some of the settings and switches were even marked backwards and installed backwards! For example…the input sensitivity switches were incorrectly installed and marked incorrectly as well….
