When I got this out of the box and took a look at the remote I saw way too many buttons to press while driving. Once I saw that I decided to hook this up in my shop and test it before putting it into a vehicle.

I took my 12V transformer and hooked this up to the 4 car speakers I removed when I upgraded the stereo in my sedan. Everything worked fin but even on my table, I found the remote cumbersome to use with all of those buttons. (I consider the remote as much of a safety hazard as a cell phone if used while driving.)

There is no CD/DVD player but I don’t mind. I burned all of my CD/DVDs to digital long ago so not a deal breaker for me. The backup camera works well but here is a model with a wireless camera for a few dollars more that I would buy to save the trouble of having to run the wires all the way from the rear license plate to the radio.

The other reviewers spoke about the inputs, knobs, and slots so I’m not going to repeat their accurate statements again. I agree that this is a decent radio for the price and that most people should opt for professional installation. (I have been installing car radios and navigation systems for over 15 years.)
