since you put the dvd in up high, there is less movement/vibration-the first player we installed just scratched up discs b/c the disc was put in on a lower part of the device–this unit worked great for7 months, but now we are getting a "no signal’ message– will try the customer service number today –really don’t want to uninstall to send in but the 1 year warranty is at least still in place and I will do it if I have to–it took a veryyyy long time to get the wires up in there-but this would be true of any device.
