Review of Bluetooth version with backup camera. This is a decent, full-featured budget head unit. Bluetooth, MicroSD card slot, backup camera, stereo, and CD/DVD. There’s a lot to like, but a couple of annoyances. Considering the price range, those are tolerable.

Install: Straightforward if you have some experience. All the wires are clearly marked. To comply with driving laws, there’s a connection to a parking brake switch that locks-out the DVD player – it only plays if the parking brake is on. I skipped that part. You may need a mounting kit for your car – check their website.

Complaints: The remote is too complex to use while driving. I’d prefer a simplified remote or a second remote that had fewer controls. The touch-screen is laggy. It reminds me of my three year old GPS touch screen. Tap. Tap again. Oops. One tap too many. Go back. Then again, it’s not a $500 unit where you’re paying for a beefier CPU. You’ll need to play with your bass – out of the box it’s mushy.

One thing I plan to change/experiment with is the backup camera. Don’t ask why, but I think it would be cool to have it on while driving with the flip of a switch. Boys and their toys.

The USB port is handy, but the position is a bit of a pain. If it powers my dash-cam, the wire goes across the screen. If it’s charging my phone, the wire passes over and around my gear-shift. I also like the micro-SD card slot, but dislike micro-SD in general – too easy to drop, especially in a car. The slot is hidden behind a false button. I’d load it up with audio and video, plug it in and forget it. The button under the SD cap is also a dummy, but is not removable….
