I am using this in a non-traditional fashion – my receiver in my home doesn’t have enough outputs and does not drive my subwoofer well through the LFE output. I checked with Planet Audio tech support and they said I could wire this little puppy with a 12V transformer and hotwire and jump the trigger and battery terminals. Tech support was easy to reach and the guy was spot on in telling my that jumping the terminals was ok. My connection – the receiver does have a stereo RCA preamp out which I connected to the inputs on the PEQ 10, using the front and rear outputs to drive my sub and soundbar which I put in the rear of my room. I can modulate the levels using the fader control and also tweak the low/mid/high controls to adjust the sound. The whole setup rocks! I found also that my receiver has a 12V trigger output connection so I will be hooking that up in lieu of the power supply. Conventional equalizers for AC/home use are more than twice the price and take up a lot more real estate. I realize they may have more control of levels across the sound spectrum but this works fine and my room is filled with clear sound. This baby works like a charm, and I am very pleased.
