I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son. It was part of a “starter” car stereo system. Since we had so much to buy we needed to make the money stretch as far as possible. Admittedly these are not top of the line competition type speakers, but they were very good for the price we paid for them. They were going into his first car, which he bought himself, so it was an older car anyway and not heading for audio competitions any time soon lol. BOTTOM LINE: if you are building a competition set and are picky then these are probably not going to meet your expectations, but if you want something that sounds good for your personal use without breaking your budget, these are good little speakers!
