I bought this amp after a ton of research. The manual can be found on planet audio’s web siteThis amp has 1 30 amp fuse (although the manual says 2 – typo). This would mean if it was perfectly efficient at about 13 volts it could produce no more then 390 watts. Anything more then that would pop that fuse, so I expect something more around 300 ish.My setup will have this amp connected in parallel to 2 RE Audio REX8S4 in 2 separate 1 cubic foot boxes tuned to about 24 hz. What?? did he just say he is using an 8 inch subwoofer?? Yes, I did. Look up the TS parameters, and graph the speaker’s characteristics. It is in my opinion the perfect subwoofer. The Infinity 840w is very similar, with higher power handling. These will take 350 watts RMS at 2 ohm.Conveniently this amp will also allow me to build my system in stages. With this amp running at 4 ohm will cut the power output in about half. Therefore, I can run one speaker at 4 ohm or two speakers at 2 ohm and it will provide the power I need.I currently have 1 box built, and I am working on the amp rack. In the mean time I have it hooked up. So far it is working great in this configuration. Power output seems to be just what I expected. If you were expecting more, I am sorry. You will be disappointed. But for what it is, it works great! I am considering buying another one for my other car.EDIT – I have since finished the amp rack and the second box and installed everything into the car. The system sounds amazing. Not windshield shattering by any means, but that was not the goal. Strong, deep, low end to create a nice even, whole sound. Very happy with my choice for my setup.
