We are in the process of upgrading/replacing all of the head units, amplifiers, speakers and subwoofers in all four of our vehicles. The quality of this amp really surprised me. It performs better than amps that cost more than twice as much. For the price point, you really get some bang for your buck. Bass is amplified nicely with no distortion. Install was easy but we were installing this on a 2000 model. I’ve noticed it’s harder to install these amps in the newer cars (installing one in our Pathfinder was a nightmare and hiding the wires was harder). If you are planning to install this yourself it comes with some very easy to follow instructions and I suggest getting an amp install kit to make it even easier. The only problem I have with this amp is it tends to get hot if you run it past the halfway point. You’ll want to keep that in mind when installing and make sure there is plenty of ventilation or put a fan in to keep things cool. That’s the reason this is getting four stars instead of five. This was the fourth amp we have installed. All were this brand and all managed to impress us. This one was no exception. I definitely recommend.
