I previously had an aftermarket stereo that was sub-par to say the least. I was very excited to give this one a try. I did the install myself and have never done anything like this before. My husband had done the prior one, so it was already set up with the wiring harness and steering wheel connector necessary. I have a 2012 Chevy Traverse and did get the Metra 95-3305 Double DIN Installation Dash Kit for 2006-up Chevrolet Vehicles to fit it into the dash correctly.

The wires were very easy to match up and it only took a short period of time for me to get them hooked up. I did not install a backup camera as it will take a little more work that I do not feel qualified to do (drilling holes and such).

The stereo sound works great with my speakers. I connected my Samsung phone up through Bluetooth and played my Amazon music through it and it sounds great plus all the controls for the music are right on the screen (my old stereo still required me to use my phone). It also loaded up my entire phonebook making phone calls much easier.

The GPS loaded up quickly and found my location without a problem. It followed me on my travels and it was correct.

The user interface is nice and easy to use. I had no trouble finding what I was looking for in the settings. I am having a little difficulty setting up the steering wheel controls (which did work on the old stereo, so the connector is correct), but otherwise I have no issues.

I’m very happy with my updated stereo and proud of myself for being able to do the installation myself.
