If you’re going to order this amp, which it is a good deal for the money so I do recommend the product, I HIGHLY recommend hiring someone to install it unless you have the time (took us about 6 hours) to install it yourself. Of course, how hard it is to install will depend on your specific car. We have a 2011 Pathfinder and it was a nightmare. We are upgrading/replacing the head units, speakers and putting subwoofers/amps in all four of our vehicles and for some reason this vehicle always proves to be the hardest one to work on. First we had to buy an amp install kit. Then we had to hook up the positive power to the battery, negative to the frame, and then hook up the remote to the cigarette lighter outlet that turns off when the car is turned off so the amp wouldn’t stay on all the time. If you don’t have an outlet that turns off when the car turns off you’ll need to buy a power switch. Then the amplifier was hooked up to the subwoofer. We had a head stock unit so we spliced into the stock subwoofer and used that signal on the amplifier. The hardest part of installing this was hiding the wire, so if you don’t care about hiding wires this would actually be a very simple and straightfoward setup. Disconnect the negative battery cable before doing anything and just follow the instructions provided. They do provide really good instructions so that is a plus for those who want to install it themselves. Overall it’s a very attractive amp and really does amplify the bass. It does a really good job for the money.
