Proposition 65 is a California law that applies to companies selling products in California. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels. Proposition 65ās warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a "right-to-know" law. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65.
There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including electronic equipment, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as buildings, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.
Why do you see the warning on our packaging and website?
The warning is part of our ongoing effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as "Proposition 65").
Fully Marinized is the term we use for our Marine and Outdoor products that are Weather Proof. We integrate high-tech, state-of-the-art waterproofing materials plus special UV coatings for plastic surfaces, coated circuit boards and connections to protect the product against the harsh outdoor elements and resist corrosion.

Not bad. Hard to hear about 45mph
Got this thing for my 2014 Honda Foreman 500. Pretty happy with it. Can't say it's crazy good. Hard to head music going faster that 45 down road even when all the way up. I had it mounted on my front rack. Hard to mount. No brackets or anything installed on tube. Light bar is a joke. It's just there to say it's there. The remote thing is pretty good if mounted correctly. Understand reading this review I am pretty serious about my sound. I ended up selling it for what I payed for it. And have a bazooka sound bar on the way. It catches everyone's eye and it's half bad. If your not crazy about sound it's a good one. If your looking for loud this ain't your boy.

Fully customizable but at a cost...
So I thought I'd try one of these powered speaker boxes & even though this turned into to something more expensive, it was worth it for me. If this helps one person save some money or create a speaker box like no other then, I'm content with that...
As soon as I received this speaker box I went about disassembling the unit, the wires coming out of the middle don't work for me as I need them along the sides of the box, just a simple modification. However, once I removed the ~24 phillips head screws, I was severely disappointed, the board for the amp is bolted to the back of one of the speakers & you have simple pigtails running to the other speaker. the worst parts was there were wires soldered directly to the header pins on the amp pcb & then hot glued in place!!! the LED power wires are the same way. another thing thats really confusing is why on earth would you use crimp spade connectors & then go back & solder them to the speaker terminals?!?! Sadly when I removed the solder, I am positive it was not lead-free solder used. All of this makes me wonder if this was a returned item or a product that needed to be reworked at the factory? In either case, it's a poor, cheap assembly of a finely engineered product.... Shame on Planet Audio, there's really no excuse for something like this.
After getting my fill of all the corners that were cut in the assembly of the speaker, I realized a fee things. Inside the box there's nut inserts in the bolt pattern of the amp that's screwed to the back of the speaker, even better is there's one on each side of the box. So in reality you could have an amp for each side/driver & wouldn't need to the pigtails running to the other side!!...

Highly Recommended !
This product is great, I have been using the speakers for about 4 months now and they are performing awesome. Included in the package was a + and - lead to wire in that lets you run right from the battery.
Would like a way to permanently install on rack to prevent sliding but other then that super satisfied with the Bluetooth handheld, light bar and sound quality.

but I'm so glad I did
Took a long time for me to pull the trigger and pay the money for one of these radios, but I'm so glad I did. The sound quality is excellent and I can here clear and crisp all the way up to 50+ mph with it mounted on the front rack of my ATV. Awesome system

It's worth it. I'd say.
I got the 700 amp and 8 inch speaker and light bar. It's very loud and sounds very clean! I expected the bass to hit a little higher! But I'll trade the clarity for the bass any day! It's built like a tank!

Here's a pretty decent review on what to expect
I'd give this setup a 4 for audio. The 8" version sounds really good especially for the price. I had a lot of compliments on the stereo when we went for a night long ride. The led bar is enough to ride at night on, but isn't gonna light up the night as well as a decent lightbar will, but once again for the price, its good.
I probably would have given it a 4 overall if it weren't such a poor design on the latch mechanism for th compartment that holds your phone. The latch is extremely hard to open when it gets mud or sand grit (central florida) in it. I had to use a flat screwdriver or pocket knife to release the catch, so I would advise you to carry one or the other in case you need to get into the compartment to access your phone.

Worth every cent
Purchased for my sons 4-wheeler the speakers were loud and clear even had good bass for his music. We went to a event and another company was selling these for double the price so if you see my review buy from these guys. Oh the light was just as good as my light bar on my UTV.

Super system
Not a bad little system for the price. It was easy to install and easy to use. My only complaint is it slides around a little on my front rack, but I ride hard. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for an atv system. I haven't taken it in to deep water yet but I have taken it though some nasty mud holes and used a hose to wash the grim off and it still works great.

Yeah, buy this one
I bought this speaker box after reading plenty of reviews of what is available.By far, the reviews of this item were close to perfect.
The cons - no directions. Its a small con, but a con nonetheless. Tried for about 20 minutes to figure out what the hardware was for that came in the bag. My only guess is that they give you hardware to mount the controller on a side by side because the mount was way to big for my 99 foreman 450ES. If you want to mount the controller, I suggest velcro.
The design interferes with my front headlight (but it does have a LED bar) Too much excess wire
The Pros- After taking it out of the box, it just felt like a solid built product. it came with 4 velcro straps to mount the speaker to your front rack.
after wiring a 12v power adapter to my wheeler, it was just a simple plug and play connection. Bluetooth connected quickly. (wiring a power outlet was very easy and took 15 minutes) The sound it good at top volume. My wheeler has aftermarket exhaust, and is loud. I had no problems hearing my music clearly. The LED light bar built into the front of the speaker is actually pretty bright. (I honestly thought it would be poor quality because of the price paid for the unit.)
Overall, very satisfied with this unit. Well worth every penny I spent.

Rugged, Weatherproof, LOUD and has an LED light bar. What more could you ask for in an ATV speaker system!?
I've always wanted a loud speaker system for my ATV and I finally pulled plug on this Planet Audio PATV65 speaker system with LED light bar.
The unit came packaged well with plenty of accessories and mounting options. It comes with some straps to secure it but with the type of riding I sometimes do, I only use ratchet style straps for an extra level of security, so the OEM ones can sit on the shelf for now. The unit can plug right into a cigarette style plug on your ATV or side by side, or you can hard wire it right to the battery with the supplied plug adapter, which is what I did. This way I can hide the wiring and know that I have a direct battery connection for the best power connection and voltage/current supply.
Pairing with my iPhone 6 was fast and simple. I enjoy listening to everything from country, to rock, electronic to pop. I'm also a bit of an audiophile so I know what good music should sound like. The frequency response is said to be 45hz-20khz. I would estimate the low end sounds more like it reaches down to 60hz or so, but the top end is nice and clear, without being too bright. This thing is loud! I'm happy to see they use a class A/B amplifier, which is really the best of both worlds instead of a mono class amplifier, especially for something as mobile as this. With the volume maxed out on the unit and on my phone, it was very loud and you would have no problem riding down a gravel road and hearing your music; even with a helmet on.
My only gripe, and it's a very slight one, is the bass response is about what you would expect from a 6.5" driver. It has good mid-bass and punch, but the look of this case just screams bass but it's just OK on that front....

cool speaker system
I mounted this recently on the back of my ATV. I thought about hardwiring it to the battery, but I have yet to do that. Using the "cigarette lighter" adapter is simple, however. It sounds pretty amazing, especially for outdoor speakers. Most outdoor speakers sound thin, trebly, and just plain nasty. The combination of woofer and tweeter together separates the bass and treble signals and provides a broad soundscape. I particularly like playing my music loud, especially if I'm having a get together - in this case, a get together out on the trail. It's nice to have music at camp. The lights are a nice feature, but not necessary. All in all this is a very cool speaker system and well thought out. I recommend it.

Great outdoor speakers!
This is a great outdoor speaker! Waterproof, built tough and very rugged looking. I wish I had an ATV, but this will do just fine on the SUV when camping or at the park.
I plugged this in on my external jump starter and lights came on bright, very useful, and syncing the speakers to the iPhone was super easy.
Sound wise, I expected better at this price point, granted these are outdoor speakers, but from the shape of the casing, it just screams BASS, but it didn't have as much oomph as I expected. The highs and mids were on the better side of things. I haven't been able to blast these in a crowded outdoor, but from my simple tests, these will do perfectly well for our outdoor use.
Overall great outdoor speakers!

Planet Audio All Terrain Sound System
Killer sound system for the outdoors, and seriously, truly, water proof. These are actually maritime speakers so you don't have to be afraid of getting them wet. Granted, I'm not going to submerge them anytime soon, but they functioning perfectly after a decent rain. The housing is seriously rugged and meant to take on not only the weather, but also its fair share of bumps and drops.
Said bumps and drops shouldn't be too much of an issue though with the solid handles and straps. There's also a bonus of an LED light, which is quite bright and definitely does the job. This system is definitely ideal for use on ATVs and the like, but honestly, it's just a great outdoor system designed to hold up to the elements. Bluetooth and aux connect work flawlessly.
But how does it sound? Well, for a specifically outdoor system, this is the best one I've used. Yeah, it doesn't touch the sound of of my Bose, but that's my INDOOR only system and has not only more bells and whistles, but a much higher price tag. And would die quickly outside. This sucker has super clear highs, lows and mids and some serious power behind it. All in a sturdy casing meant to withstand the elements.
I love this system and I'm sure I will be getting a lot of use out of it for a very long time. This is more of layman review on functionality, all technical aspects are well covered in the product description. Definitely recommended if you're in the market for an outdoor unit.

Better than expected but I would not go any cheaper as this does the job.
This thing is huge and sounds better than expected also plays louder than expected. The only down sides is the door on top where you store your phone does not pop open when the lever is pushed and the lever itself is difficult to push. Also the size itself might be a problem as it takes up my whole front rack and then some blocking my headlight but the light bar partly takes care of that.I would have paid more for more power in a smaller package.
