If you’re looking for a change from your current radio and want an upgrade that isn’t too expensive then this is a good option. It has a detachable face plate and comes with a case for it. It also has a remote control. Installation is not too hard, although you may have to get a housing bracket to fit it in your car. The nice thing about this is that you can connect it if you have existing audio controls on your steering wheel to this so you would not be losing any functionality.
The sound itself is pretty decent. It is not going to be the best out there and I think this is more something you would get for the features instead of just the sound. The touch screen is all right. It is not the most sensitive out there but responds well.
Now the big thing about this is that it has a DVD player. While it works, it is good for if you’re stuck in traffic because it will not function while you are driving. So it looks like we will still be using the DVD player that came with the van for the kids.
Overall, the functionality is there and it’s a very sleek little unit and a good starter radio. The sound is not the best but if that is not your concern, this will work perfectly.
