This setup is Ideal for a xtra cab pickup. I own a 1996 ford ranger xlt and have no room for a box in the back(or time to deal with amp selection etc.) I have a kenwood kdc 258u head(cheap one) and thought why not. It requires routing wires under your carpet , but that is quite easy. Do tune the setup to the 40Hz bass test and you will have a nice full sound with your sound system setup. NOTE : My initial order arrived and quickly burned out( faulty amp /burned out electronics), but amazon was awesome about the replacement, so no problems there. This was paired with the recommended “Boss Audio KIT2 8 Gauge Amplifier Installation kit” (you will need this). Happy bumping!update: Had it for a month and no problems so it gets 5 stars.
