Read V42 reviews, that helped me purchase it. I have to agree with everything they said. Two months now and zero issues. Installed head unit into a 2000 Ford F250 with a SHi$%^load of modifications but it sits pretty now and installed back up camera. Connections are a snap and well labeled. has wires to hook up for steering wheel controls but i do not have that feature. The dimesions are spot on so measure first to see if it fits..Make sure you have clearence in the back. Also I have been installing stereos for over 15 years so i have the ablitity to do what i want. If you dont have a double din to start with (mine was a Din 1/2)getting ready for a PIA install (possiblely). Dont’ question me and ask if it will fit in your car or truck,,I DONT KNOW…All the components on this unit work fine, BT phone and player, GPS 2012 updated and probably the best voice cmds iv heard. Love the volume knob so much easier then pushing the volume down button 400 times. Videos play while driving for the little one in the back. I have my own wallpaper that is on the background of every screen..I had to call customer support for that feature and they answered the phone quickly(from Oxnard,CA) and told me how to do it( what format(.bmp) and size).(No Peggy answering the phone for them) Be aware it takes sometime hooking up the ipod connector, usb internal drive, gps pod, back up camera, ect but when its done WOW, I love when they jump in my truck and show them all the features and listen to them say, cool, that rocks,ect..My buddy is now getting one now. It is a cheap unit not know 1100.00 kXnwXXd unit which i have played with before this purchase. I will take the 800.00 savings for a 2 sec longer boot time. All the higher end head units are good not smashing on them. Set up is not hard just read the instructions and if you order it, download the instructions from planet audio website while your waiting for it to arrive then your all ready when it arrives. Also SD card slot is a micro SD card. The price is also 10 dollars cheaper when got it,damm. Also Sonix electronics, Great company, communications, shipping,ect..Now for the nit picky cons:-Boot up time is about 4-6 secs, I can deal with that.-Inserting a CD and playing, 11-13 secs, no biggie since i use my ipod, sd card and usb drive most of the time.-Pictures(photographs) on SD take a while to load up but its not a laptop either.Pros: Everything above and other reviewsThats it, gotta go convert my dvds to my SD card for more movies to watch.
