I’ve had this two of these subwoofers for about 3 weeks now and so far it’s been really good! They’re being powered by an MB Quart class D 1600 mono amplifier. MB Quart amps are CEA compliant, and that means that they put out the true wattage as advertised. But anywho, the subs are wired down to 1 ohm so at times, theyre receiving as much watts that they can put out. On my way home, I decided to play the woofers at my usual “traffic light” volume for about 15 minutes and the cones werent warm at all. The only thing that kinda disappointed me about these subs are that they have a resonance frequency at 39hz…and that’s REALLY high. But! The box I built for them is tuned at around 31hz, and they definitely hit the lows pretty well. All in all, I’d say that this subwoofer rivals the oh so famous “kicker comp” subwoofers, and that these are worth the price!Oh, and also, I highly doubt these woofers are 1000 watts peak. So I wouldn’t get a CEA compliant amplifier that’ is 2000 watts or more, because you’ll vaporize the subs.Lastly, I gave it 4 stars because I hate it when companies lie about subwoofer and amplifier ratings. That is all.
