Bought these to replace the rear door speakers in a 2006 Isuzu Ascender (rebadged GMC Envoy). The bass is only so-so, and I have to push the EQ up to maximum while also cutting down the mid & treble… and while the mix is okay, there just doesn’t seem to be any real depth to the bass. The mid & treble sound really nice, though, giving an honest tone as if you were playing an instrument live.
I’m sure these speakers are a marked improvement over a standard factory audio system (standard, not premium), but you’re only going to get so much performance out of a less-than-twenty-bucks pair of speakers. They serve their purpose, but they’re not stellar.
