First off here are the ratings on this amp
2000 Watts at 2ohm x 1 (Bridged)
1000 Watts at 4ohm x 1 (Bridged)
500 Watts at 2ohm x 2
250 Watts at 4ohm x 2
So if you’re thinking that you are going to buy this amp to push 2 subs that have a 500 rms at 4 ohm it’s not going to happen. This amp is not going to push those subs. Know what you’re buying. It’s not the amps fault. SO overall this is a pretty good amp. It will do fine if you are pushing a low to mid level sub or subs. Rockford prime or a P1, kicker comp, something like that. The amp does get hot but that all depends on how high you have the amp set at. I’m only pushing the amp about half way and it only gets a little hot. If you’re going to put the amp under a seat i would screw it to a board and put like half an inch of spacers under it because the vent is on the bottom. If you bridge the amp it does get hot but nothing out of the norm.
