Audio Streaming

Audio streaming [A2DP] is an audio protocol of Bluetooth technology. This profile allows for audio to be streamed wirelessly from your compatible device, such as a Smartphone, to the source unit so you can enjoy your favorite music or streaming music service such as Pandora or Spotify, wirelessly.

Aux Input

The Aux Input allows you to connect to the audio output of an external device such as an MP3 Player or Smartphone so you can enjoy your music through your system.

The built-in, Preset EQ allows you to chose from preset EQ curves for a variety of music styles such as Rock or POP.

Fully Marinized

Fully Marinized is the term we use for our Marine and Outdoor products that are Weather Proof. No CD Mechanism

Our units without a CD mechanism are ideal for people that take their music with them digitally. These units can play digital media files directly from SD Cards, USB Flash drives, and connect with external devices such as your Smartphone thru the Aux input or via Audio Streaming [on units with Audio Streaming built-in].

RDS Tuner

Radio Data System (RDS) provides information on the radio display such as the Call Name of the station, Programing format and allows a broadcaster to send up to a 64 character message that could scroll things like sports scores, song titles, artist or album names, traffic and news across your radio’s display.

USB Playback

The USB port will support a USB flash drive up to 32 GB and can be used for music playback as well as photo and video viewing (on source units equipped with a monitor). Some units have a mini USB input but come with the adapter to convert to be able to play full size USB drives.

Awesome radio easy to install had to trim the factory ...

Awesome radio easy to install had to trim the factory housing on my Commander a little bit to fit. Easy hookup to my bluetooth for extra use. love that it also has weather band. I also bought the usb extension cord to better access the 3.5 and usb ports to a central location.

Great value

Very good so far. The only problem I have is finding my preset stations. This is not a serious problem as I generally listen to the same station all the time. The bluetooth feature is great and the volume goes loud enough I don't have any problem hearing it going down the road on bike.

Great sound, but quirky issues

Installed this in my old bowrider speedboat and love the small form factor. The radio produces great sound and has quite reasonable output to my Polk audio speakers. Unfortunately after less than 2 weeks of being installed, the lcd on the radio now periodically flashes random characters.. This only lasts a few seconds, but is disconcerting. The radio also runs warm, which is unavoidable given it's small size. Just be sure it has room to breathe. One other item of note is that plugging your cell phone into the usb connector forces the radio into usb mode, but does not read from a cell phone. I am now streaming from my tablet via bluetooth and charging it from a separate lighter socket.

This was absolutely the best upgrade I could have made to our 44 year old boat, and i have made a lot of them.

I do suggest wiring up both the power supply and the ignition wires directly to the battery, otherwise it will turn off and on every time you cut the motor, not very convenient when skiing or tubing.

Bluetooth works great 2. 60 watt output is definitely stronger than ...

Unit is decent for the price:

CON's:
1. Continues to fog under the display in hot temperatures.
2. Does NOT work with anything USB except for power: While the amazon description states that it works with USB sticks and SD cards, my experience is that it does not. The quick start instruction manual states USB is for charging only, which is correct. An ipod with a USB cable does nothing. Plugging in a USB thumb drive causes the unit to boot-loop.
3. The AUX input is RCA! You will need a 3.5mm to RCA extension or adapter! you have been warned.

PRO's:
1. Bluetooth works great
2. 60 watt output is definitely stronger than the 40w Kenwood I replaced while keeping the same 4 speakers.
3. Saves settings when no battery is connected. I soldered my yellow and red wires together, and even after 1 week without a battery connected, it still saved my settings.

I was looking for something to put in my side by side for bluetooth music that I really didn't care about. The ease of use and sound quality so far are well worth the money and if it gets too wet or damaged I'm not going to be upset or in bind to replace. Fit my needs perfectly.

Very nice solution for an inexpensive outdoor stereo system!

So I bought this to use on my shed along with 4 - 6.5" outdoor speakers to crank up the tunes in the garden. Installation is pretty straight forward and simple. I after powering up I discovered the unit had a faulty transformer at the power input. Reported issue to amazon and had a replacement 2 days later. The replacement unit fired up no problem. I have had this system in place for about a week now, and I can tell you I'm extremely satisfied with the sound quality.The 60W x 4 speakers does the trick. I can hear the music clearly across my 1-acre lot. For the cost of this unit + the 4 Pyle speakers, it beats the heck out of the more expensive alternatives. One drawback is the blue tooth reception is kind of weak. I can't stray too far away with my phone, so I just leave it in the shed while I'm working or playing in the yard.

Impressed!!!

I bought this to replace a broken stereo in my boat and this fit right into my 3" RPM gauge that was no longer working. Hookup and install was simple and straightforward. When I turned it on I was VERY surprised at the sound coming out of this unit...way more than I will ever need or use (FYI, I only have two speakers). I just like a little background country music playing when I'm slaying the snook and redfish. The XBass option really adds a lot of depth to the sound as well. The Bluetooth connected immediately (no passwords needed, etc, just instant connect) and works flawlessly. I liked the gray color better than other black units because it matches my dash and gauges better. I also like the fact that this radio is perfectly located now where I can see it to change stations, etc (my old one was under my steering wheel and I had to bend over to do anything). My only complaint is the the radio station presets/memory are nearly impossible to figure out...took me about 45 minutes to save 3 stations and I'm still not sure how I did it. Oh well, I got it for the bluetooth anyway. After install, my son looked at it and said, wow, that looks nice, just wait till the saltwater hits it. He's right, the true test will be how it holds up after saltwater exposure. Overall, very happy with looks, sound, and install.

Very happy! Music on the boat And little maintance

What a great little boat radio. Blue tooth works great and with the remote USB it's even better. I am driving on 2@ 5" marine speakers and the whole 17ft bow rider can hear it with little distortion or issues over the engine screaming in the back ground. Use an amp if you need more power.

Overall nice unit

Overall nice product first day the face started fogging. Hoping this will clear up if fogging does not go away in a day or so I may try to return, other than that, very nice solid unit. Sound quality is ok flawless Bluetooth connection, good FM reception.

can't beat it for the price

This seems to be a quality built item. Although the description on here is vague the unit is actually better than the description. It Controls MP3 players through the usb charging chord, it has auxiliary in hookups, and the option to turn the rear RCA line out to subwoofer only. Its is easy to use and feels solid. My only complaint is the power output for the speakers isn't exactly stellar. But with the plethora of cheap marine amps on the market that is easily solved.

Fits 3.5" Gauge Opening and Rocks

Exactly what I needed for my Golf Cart. Streams music from the phone, and the USB on the back charges the phone so I don't run out of juice. Powers four speakers, so I didn't need an amp. Fit into the 3.5" gauge opening and looks fantastic.

Great for sailboats.

I love these. 2nd one I have installed. I panel mount them in sailboats instead of the traditional CD player type mounted in a black box.The reality is, who plays CD's on their boat anymore? These use bluetooth, and make for a nice clean install with a small footprint. Great reception from radio and from bluetooth. Hard to complain. Incidentally, this same radio is rebranded by BOSS, so buy whichever one has the better price. I have owned both, and can confirm they are the same.
